Personal Data Privacy Statement
PFCED is committed to protecting your privacy and we encourage you to read this privacy statement.
This statement describes:
- the personal data that we collect;
- How we collect data and why
- How data will be used and who we can disclose or transfer data to and why;
- How data can be corrected or deleted;
- The process and contact information that customers can use to raise enquiries, concerns and complaints.
1. Basic Premises
PFCED values your privacy and wants to be transparent about the data we collect, how we use it and your rights to control that information.
The privacy practices described in this Statement are primarily designed to protect the privacy of covered personal data and to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations.
2. When do we collect personal data?
Generally, when you provide the information to us via:
- Forms
- Online surveys
- Over the phone
- Voluntary information collected at engagement activities or PFCED projects
- A request for information as part of a project or as part of a service request
- Direct contact with us
PFCED collects personal data about you when you enquire about or participate in our activities, register with us, send or receive a communication or otherwise provide us with personal information. We may also receive information about you from third parties, for example from our service providers, that are permitted to share this personal data. You also provide information to us when you choose to email data to us, or you participate in activities and initiatives of PFCED.
3. What personal data are/may be collected?
- your name and personal particulars such as contact details, address, birthdate, education;
- specimen signatures;
- government ID details;
- financial information (such as income, expenses, balances, investments, tax, insurance, financial and transaction history, etc);
- employment details;
- business interests and assets;
- images via CCTV and other similar recording devices and processes which may be observed when visiting our offices and/or using our other facilities;
- voice recordings of our conversations with you
PFCED may, as and when necessary, seek to verify or augment these information with third-party entities including government regulators, judicial, supervisory bodies, tax authorities or courts of competent jurisdiction and, in the process, gain additional information about you.
PFCED shall take reasonable steps to ensure that data is reliable, accurate, complete, and current, bearing in mind its intended use. You have a responsibility to keep the data you provide to us updated and we will take reasonable steps to facilitate this.
4. How the Personal Data will be used
We will use your personal data:
To, where applicable, provide you with the services or information you have requested; for administration purposes; and to further our charitable aims, including for fundraising activities.
As part of this, we may analyze the personal information we collect to create a profile of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you in the most appropriate way and with the most relevant information.
Your personal data may be transferred to companies within the PFCED group or to service providers that are performing services for PFCED or acting as PFCED’s agents, partners and or volunteer. PFCED will require that any such service providers agree to keep your personal data secure and confidential, use it only for the purposes for which the personal data is transferred and use it only in accordance with PFCED’s directions.
More importantly, your personal data may be transferred to Government authorities, agencies and institutions as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
PFCED shall not collect, use, disclose or transfer your personal data except as described in this Statement unless you give us your permission to collect, use, disclose or transfer it for other purposes.
CONSENT:
- By providing personal data to PFCED you consent to the processing of such data by PFCED as described in this Privacy Statement.
- You acknowledge and agree that your information may be transferred to and processed in the Philippines following legal and regulatory standards for data protection that may differ from your current or home jurisdictions.
5. Accessing Personal Data
You have the right to ask PFCED, in writing, for a copy of all the personal data held about you. Processing such a request may be contingent on the payment of an administration fee, your will be advised if such a fee is applicable upon receipt of your request.
6. How to Contact Us
For any queries, clarifications, access to your personal records or requests on any aspect of this Statement, the exercise of your rights pertaining to your personal information or to provide any feedback that you may have about our processing of personal information, you may also email us at pfcedfao@pfcedinc.org which is manned during business hours.
PFCED may ask you to cover the reasonable cost of accessing and providing copies of your personal data.

In making your request to review, update, amend or block data, you will be required to provide PFCED with details of the data requested and the reasons why the data needs correction. PFCED will ask for proof of your identity. PFCED may ask you to assist in verifying the accuracy of the updates and the amendments to the personal data.
PFCED will strive to address your request as soon as practicable and no later than thirty (30) calendar days from the date your request is received and understood.
7. Changes to this Statement
PFCED reserves the right to change this policy at any time by notifying users of a new privacy statement. This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal rights.

Who We Are
In 1965, the Philippine Foundation for Cultural and Educational Development, Inc. (or PFCED) was set up to promote academic excellence, professional proficiency, as well as social responsibility among people from all walks of life.
It established various centers for professional men and women (such as Banahaw Cultural Center, Sangandaan Cultural Center, Bel-Air Cultural Center, etc.) with an aim to find support from the business community as well as from professionals in various fields, in promoting human and Christian values and social responsibility in the corporate and business sector.
PFCED also operates centers for high school and university students (such as Lauan Study Center, Tanglaw University Center, Tahilan Study Center) to help students develop leadership skills, drive for academic excellence, and infuse love for freedom and responsibility in relation to the country, community and family. Convinced that a change in society could only be effected by individuals who themselves undergo a personal transformation, PFCED put up various conference centers (Makiling, Hilltop, Laguna Hills and Latag) where it consistently organizes conferences on family values, spiritual retreats, and short seminars on professional excellence in all honest human endeavors. These conference centers also serve as venues for the exchange of ideas, to provide an environment for the study of important social issues, and to instill the consideration of such with a Christian outlook. For over fifty years, thousands of people have been participating in these activities.
II. MISSION. VISION. GOALS.

To be a seedbed for social change in the community and society through programs deeply grounded on Christian and human values.
b. Mission
To contribute effectively in providing the country with morally upright citizens who will work towards professional excellence, a growing concern for the social welfare and progress of the underprivileged, having always as a specific goal the development of the genuine cultural, moral and human values of the Filipino people.
c. Goals
- To maintain and operate centers for the cultural, educational and spiritual formation of students, professional men and women.
- To establish scholarship funds and special funds for deserving students in collaboration with other foundations.
- To establish linkages with local and foreign institutions and develop training programs and courses in professional and cultural development, home management and family education.
- To assist students in international congresses on university education and current global issues.
- To promote cooperation with other foundations to set up livelihood programs for small communities.
